Audiologist, Owner

Michelle Couture-Souvenir, Au.D. is the founder and owner of Hear 4 U (with Hear 4 Kidz) and owner of Hear 4 U Inc., S.A.- Panama. Prior to venturing on her own, she served as a pediatric audiologist and rehabilitative services manager at the Miami Children's Hospital. Dr. Couture-Souvenir graduated with a B.S. from Central Michigan University in 1990, received a M.A. in Audiology from Wayne State University School of Medicine in 1992, a M.S. in Health Care Administration from Barry University in 1996, and a Doctorate in Audiology from Arizona School of Health Sciences in 2002. She is a member of ASHA and AAA, and holds a State of Florida professional license in Audiology.

Besides her many educational achievements, Dr. Couture-Souvenir has a passion for pediatric audiology and a tenacious drive towards humanitarianism. She has promoted an active involvement in two separate international humanitarian projects helping hearing impaired children around the World.

Michael Bermudez

Audiologist

Michael Angelo Bermudez is an outstanding audiologist who has been practicing in Miami for over 24 years. He joined Hear 4 U Audiology in October 2019. Graduating from the University of Connecticut in 1996 with a Master’s degree in Audiology. Michael takes his time with young children and tries to minimize the sometimes traumatic experience of those on the Autistic Spectrum. Pediatric experience of testing infants and pre K school aged children were fined tuned with 16 years at Miami Children’s Hospital. His passion is to provide excellent hearing health care from the children as well at his adult patients. Hearing aids are fit with the best and latest technology providing our patients with a great listening experience. Licensed in the State of Florida in Audiology and holds American Speech and Language Association (ASHA) certification

Sonia Velez

Office Manager

Was born and raised in South Florida. She has a niece who is hearing impaired. This is how Sonia and Dr. Couture-Souvenir met. Her niece was diagnosed with a hearing loss by Dr. Couture-Souvenir. Since this time, Sonia had a passion to work with Hear 4 Kidz. Prior to working with Hear 4 Kidz, Sonia worked in customer service for 8 years.

In 2013 Sonia became a certified Audiologist’s Assistant. She desires to get her certification and an Hearing Instrument Specialist.

Jessica Fontanez

Office Assistant

Jessica joined Hear 4 Kidz (Hear 4 U) in May 2013, as an office assistant. She was raised in Homestead, FL. She came to us with both a customer service and office management background. She desires to become certified as an Audiologist’s Assistant.

Miroslena Pirela

Office Assistant / Audiologists assistance

Miroslena joined our staff in December 2018, as an office assistant. She was raised in Venezuela. Miroslena came to us with a background in office assistant. She likes working in healthcare. She recently received her certification as an audiologist's assistant.

Edward Lafaye

Regional Director

Edward Lafaye joined Our team in April 2016. He comes with 30 years of experience in retail management. Edward is from New York and was raised in Bayamon, Puerto Rico. Edward believes in good efficient communication, emphasizing the importance of being a good listener. As a son of hearing impaired parents , as a father of two boys with hearing impairment and having profound hearing impairment myself I personally understand hearing impairment and its challenges in all aspects. Edward has experienced many challenges due to his hearing loss over the years working in customer service; he refused to let his hearing impairment become an obstacle. He has been able to educate many that hearing impairment does not have to be an obstacle. He is excited to combine his professional and personal experiences to enhance Hear 4 Kidz, Inc. (d/b/a Hear 4 U).

Fonoaudiologist

Alexeis is a licensed Fonoaudiologist in the Republic of Panama. He joined our staff in May 2011. He comes to Hear 4 U with 6 years experience in diagnostic audiology (pediatric and adult) and proficiency working with hearing devices. He graduated with honors in 2005 from University of the Americas in Panama City.

Lic. Isabel Batistat

Office Manager

Isabel Batista is the receptionist at Hear 4 U Panama. She joined Hear 4 U with education and experience in English Studies, Graphic Design, and customer service.

Irina Najera

Office Assistant

Irina joined our Panama practice in October of 2013. She joined us with a strong background in Customer Service and is a great addition to our team. She is also bilingual.
